Department of Environmental Chemistry mainly carries out the surveillance and examination of chemical pollutants in environmental medium and the original compounds and metabolites of chemical pollutants in human biological samples, as well as research on correlative examination technologies, implements the studies on chemical pollutant identification technology in emergent environmental contamination accident, undertakes the research and development of laboratory quality control samples, undertakes the examination and evaluation of hygiene safety of environmental health protective articles as well as the formulation and revision of hygienic standards.
